Managing Director & Founder
Ian MacDonald is the Founder and Managing Director of AHSG and a recognised leader in healthcare strategy, operations and organisational performance.
With more than 40 years’ experience, Ian has held CEO and senior executive roles across the public and private sectors and has worked extensively with Boards and executive teams in Australia and internationally.
He brings deep experience across strategic planning, operational performance, governance and organisational effectiveness, and supports leaders to navigate complex challenges, clarify priorities and make informed decisions.
He is known for his ability to synthesise complex environments, data and strategic intent into clear, actionable approaches — supporting organisations to translate direction into delivery and achieve measurable outcomes.
Kylie Vos
Director
Kylie Vos brings more than 25 years’ experience across clinical practice, consulting and senior advisory roles.
She specialises in leadership capability, organisational development and performance improvement, working closely with executive teams and leaders to strengthen capability, build alignment and support effective organisational performance.
Kylie is highly engaging and trusted by leaders at all levels, known for her ability to listen deeply, understand complex organisational dynamics and work constructively across teams and stakeholders.
She is recognised for translating leadership, culture and behavioural insight into practical application, and for articulating complex ideas clearly to support executive decision-making, alignment and delivery.

Owen Thomas is a highly experienced senior executive with a strong track record in operational performance improvement, organisational effectiveness and leadership support.
He brings deep operational experience across complex healthcare environments, working with organisations to improve service delivery, efficiency and overall system performance.
Owen is recognised for his strong executive presence and sound judgement, and is trusted by leaders for his calm, considered and structured approach to addressing complex challenges.
He works closely with executives and senior leaders to support decision-making, strengthen leadership capability and provide mentoring and coaching in complex roles.
Owen brings a pragmatic, outcomes-focused approach, with expertise in diagnostics, operational redesign and the implementation of performance improvement initiatives.
Michele Dobe
Director
Michele Dobe brings more than 25 years’ experience across clinical practice, leadership and organisational development.
She began her work with the Studer Group methodology within a healthcare organisation, implementing the Evidence-Based Leadership framework as an internal leader before moving into advisory roles supporting other organisations.
Over more than 15 years with Studer Group and now AHSG, Michele has worked with organisations ranging from small rural services through to large, complex health systems, specialising in culture, engagement and leadership development.
She is known for her realistic and systematic approach, translating frameworks into clear, relevant actions while building alignment across teams and supporting leaders to apply change in practice.
Michele focuses on ensuring that improvement is not only designed, but consistently applied and sustained within organisations.
Jaime Thomson
Senior Consultant & Coach
Jaime Thomson is a Senior Consultant & Coach with more than 15 years’ experience in healthcare coaching, leadership development and the application of Studer Group methodologies.
She works with leaders, teams and organisations to build capability, strengthen engagement and translate leadership, culture and performance frameworks into practical application. Jaime has worked across a broad range of healthcare services, aged care and disability services.
Jaime brings strong expertise in coaching, facilitation and leadership development and is recognised for her practical, engaging add solutions focused approach. She works closely with leaders and teams to build understanding, ownership and accountability and to embed organisational priorities sand leadership practices into day to day work.
Her focus is on ensuring people are supported to develop their capability, understand what is expected and apply what they have learned in practice.
